3. Биография

Enigma - музыкальная группа, дату образования которой можно считать датой рождения стиля Enigmatic. Энигма появилась в 1990 году и с первых же альбомов обрела популярность во многих странах. Группа использовала волшебную смесь стиля New age с этническими напевами и красивыми сольными вокальными партиями вместе с хоровым пением. Новое необычное звучание привлекало все больше слушателей, и уже к выходу второго альбома Энигма была очень известной группой. Популярность коллектива постоянно росла, и все актуальнее становился вопрос о том, кто же является основателем этого проекта - имя его (или ее) по-прежнему оставалось неизвестным. Это был осознанный шаг создателя Энигмы. По задумке люди не должны были знать ни исполнителей композиций, ни авторов музыки и текстов. Такая интрига лишь подчеркивала мистический образ группы, название которой, кстати, даже переводится как загадка. Enigma для поклонников была музыкой, которую можно было слушать и обсуждать. В этом и заключалась основная идея тайны - люди обсуждали музыку, а не имидж исполнителей или их семейную жизнь. Со временем имена многих исполнителей стали известны, но темной лошадкой по-прежнему оставались сами основатели проекта. Энигма в своих песнях использовала записи церковного хора, и вот, однажды, произошел конфликт из-за нарушения авторских прав. Несмотря на то, что все споры были улажены, имена на этот раз в тайне сохранить не удалось. Так стало известно, что основателем группы Enigma является Мишель Крету - известный продюсер и музыкант, он же автор большинства текстов песен, он же исполнитель большинства мужских вокальных партий. Почти все женские вокальные партии исполняла его жена Сандра Крету, а в записи первого альбома принял активное участие сам Франк Петерсон, работавший под псевдонимом Gregorian…
После выхода первых альбомов у Энигмы появились свои последователи, взявшие за основу жанр New age, - Gregorian и чуть позже eRa. В последствии эти группы стали самыми яркими представителями стиля Энигматик. На данный момент Энигмой записано семь студийных альбомов, и снято множество видеоклипов.
Что же такое Enigma? Точного определения не смог дать даже сам Мишель Крету. Каждый ее воспринимает по-своему, на то и был расчет основателя проекта. В этой музыке есть все необходимое для игры нашего воображения. Мистика, тайна, чистота, эротика, завораживающие голоса и музыка - это все Enigma.
